Our House Churches stir us up to love and good works
... and let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. - Heb. 10:24,25
Acts 2:42 says that the first Christians "...devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers." At St. John's, we try to keep it that plain and simple. Once a week we gather at somebody's home, we receive Biblical instruction, we fellowship over coffee and conversation, we break bread together, and we pray.

Right now, St. John's Home Church gathers in multiple sites or clusters every weekend and comes together on a regular basis to celebrate, worship, and see one another. Our desire is to continue to multiply this wonderfully ancient, Biblical, and resourceful model throughout our community. If you or your family are looking for something more relational and genuine in your spiritual walk, house church might be just the thing for you.
Interested in starting a house church?
Step one: Pray about it. Ask the Lord.
Step two: Talk about it with friends or other family members who might also be interested. Ask them to pray about it with you.
Step three: Contact our local Clarksville missionary, Patrick Smith. His cell is (931) 217-6190 and his email is info@stjohnshomechurch.org. He would love to talk with you about it over the phone, through email, or over a cup of coffee. At first you might just want to see how we do it for a while or maybe just receive our weekly "Connections" e-letter. It's up to you and how the Holy Spirit leads you.
